Dear Governor

Enclosed I send a Petition to the President recommending Col Greusel as a Brigadier signed as you will notice by all the Officers of the "Pea Ridge" Brigade. I hope you will find it consistent with your feelings to give the Colonel your recommendation and forward the petition to Washington If you can comply with the above request you will much oblige
