Chicago. Decr 18 1863

Hon Richard Yates

Springfield, Ill.

Dear Sir

Miss H.E. North, an accomplished lady of Stratford, Conn. writes me that she is engaged in preparing a Book of Autographs for the Fair about to be held in New York for the benefit of the Sanitary Commission

She desires me to obtain for her the Autographs of the Western Governors accompanied if possible by a few lines of their writing.

From the progress already made, her collection will be one of unusual merit

Should you comply with her request I shall be happy to forward or you can direct to the lady herself at Stratford, Conn, Care of Revd D.C. Weston.

Very truly Yours

Henry W. Fuller
