Hon Richard Yates

Respected Sir

I am going to Jacksonville tomorrow to endevor to procure a position on the Tonica & Petersburg Railroad & would beg a letter of introduction & recommendation from you to the President & Directors of the Road. It would be of great service to me & I feel assured from your ten year knowledge & acquaintance with me you can safely recomend me to them & I know it will afford you great pleasure to thus reward me for a lifetime devotion to yourself & your political fortunes. I will call in the morning for the letter, & with deep respect I remain Yours

Harry C. Watson
