Reid Memorial Chapel, 1890
Monticello Female Seminary
A woodcut shows Reid Chapel, built in honor of William H. Reid's wife, Eleanor Irwin Reid. The Reid's donated large sums of money requested by principal Harriet Haskell to help rebuild the Monticello Female Seminary after the November 4, 1888 fire. The chapel later served as the school's library.
