On verso: "Frank Rande, The American Brigand, The Knox County Desperado, the brilliant and daring Young Bandit of the Wabash. Real name CHAS. C. Scott, born in Claysville, Washington Co., Pa., Sept. 23, 1839. 38 years of age in 1877."
