Dear Friend Enclosed find Letter to myself from J. T. Blaney of Andalusia, Rock Island County.
Our Representative, Martin about a week ago told me that he Should Support you But I am informed that he Left here this morning in care of Geo F. Harding of Chicago for Springfield which Looks Suspicious. I intended to went with him but Severe illness of my Wife Detains me. But as Soon as She is convalescent I shall take first Train of cars for your City to Do all in my power for Your interests.
I have nothing new to tell you of or about Strain.

He saw Representative Martin not long ago and he said he would vote for you. He however left there for Springfield in care of Geo. Harding which is suspicious
