Dear Governor,

Your confidential note is just recd. I will endeavour to bear in mind your suggestions, and will inform you from time to time what may seem to be of importance

Allow me to suggest that so soon as the dust of the Judicial Election blows over, & a fair oportunity presents try and fix up Judge Laurance.

I will endeavour to see him ocasionly & will I think be able to loosen some of his prejudices, &c

Truly Your freind

Geo [I?] Bergen
