You will probably remember of taking a memorandum of Money Clothing to that was taken from me when I was taken prisoner at Holly Springs.= You thought that goverment would make me which I have just returnd from goverment service in very limited circumstances indeed _ My only dependance for living being on My son in the fourth Ind Battery If you can assist me in getting my money you will oblige me very much I would not have asked you at this time if I had any way or means that I could depend on for my living I expected to have returnd to gov service but have no means of replenishing my Wardrobe I will not be able to return untill next spring I have just returnd from Atlanta _ I expect to remain in Chicago this winter-

You made a note of the money. clothing &c. which was taken from her when taken prisoner at Holly Springs and told her you thought Government would repay her. Hopes you will see what can be done for her as she is in great need.
