I send Mr Dills to Springfield to endeavour to make arrangements to pass soldiers over the Great Western Road I have been informed that men that have been discharged and sick have been put off their cars. I trust that our being mustered into the service of Govt. does not debar us of the sympathy and interest of State, hoping you will assist Mr. Dills in this undertaking and through your influence may be able to accomplish it
